It is with great sadness that Solihull College & University Centre announces the sad passing of our Chair of Governors, Helena (Lena) Stockford.
Lena had over 40 years of experience within the Further Education sector and joined the College’s governing body in July 2010, taking up the position of Chair in January 2013
Lena achieved success as Principal of Warwickshire College before joining KPMG and later embarking on a successful career in education and coaching related consultancy.
Lena was able to bring all of her knowledge and expertise gained within the industry to her work as Chair of Governors at Solihull College & University Centre, where her commitment and dedication were unbounded and tireless.
Principal of Solihull College & University Centre John Callaghan commented “We are all extremely saddened by the recent news that our Chair of Governors, Helena Stockford has passed away. Lena supported the College for a number of years and brought with her wealth of experience within the FE sector, which was invaluable to the College. It was a pleasure to work with Lena over the years and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to Lena’s family and friends at this time.”
