Just last year the BBC reported that tens of thousands of NHS nursing and doctor posts currently lie vacant, which is equivalent to 9% of the workforce in the UK. As well as this, there is reportedly currently a large shortage of teachers within the UK.
Solihull College & University Centre offers a variety of courses for all age groups to allow individuals to train within many of these areas and help to fill the shortage of the skills that are so vital within the UK.

On Tuesday 2nd May between 5:30pm-6:30pm the College will be hosting an Care and Education Introduction Evening for adult learners at its Blossomfield Campus, Solihull. Prospective students will be able to meet the tutors, see the facilities in which the courses take place and ask any questions about starting a course at Solihull College.

As a College we are able to train students in a variety of different areas as well as give them industry experience which they will be able to transfer to a working environment. It is essential that we fill the shortage of jobs in the UK to ensure that our healthcare and education sectors are successful.”
