College adds benefits to sports courses

Solihull College and University Centre have announced new benefits for students studying university level sports courses.

The college which offers Foundation Degrees, HND courses, Top-up degrees and BSc (Hons) Degrees in sports science now gives students even more reason to study. The courses cover modules such as sports theory and coaching techniques to give those interested in a career within the sporting industry the skills and knowledge needed.

As well as providing students with excellent teaching methods, facilities such as a sports therapy clinic and fully-equipped gym, Solihull College and University Centre is now offering its university level students’ additional benefits that will assist with their learning. These benefits include free gym membership at Solihull College Sports Centre, free access to the swimming pool at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre and as well as their qualification that they are studying towards students will now also gain a level one coaching qualification with their course.

The benefits available to students have been introduced to allow students to take full advantage of the facilities on offer and also put into practice the knowledge they have been taught whilst studying.

Another opportunity that students studying sport can take advantage of is the chance to experience work placements at a variety of employers. Solihull College and University Centre has a variety of connections with employers to enable their students to gain hands on experience within the industry.
