A former Science student from Solihull College & University Centre is well on her way to her dream career as a Radiographer.
Rasha Muset’s Aunt was diagnosed with cancer when Rasha was 17. The situation inspired Rasha to learn more about how the illness was diagnosed.
Rasha comments: “I did combined Science at school, and I really wanted to further my knowledge, so I completed the BTEC Applied Science course at Solihull College & University Centre. I found the facilities impressive and thoroughly enjoyed the practical sessions, and although it was tough I found the teaching staff very supportive.”
Rasha is now in her first year at Coventry University studying to be a diagnostic radiographer. She has recently had a placement at Warwick Hospital and was thrilled to be learning on site as well as at university.

Rasha recently returned to Blossomfield Campus to chat to current students. Programme Manager for Science, Andrew Balderson, says it was an inspiring visit: “It was fantastic to see Rasha come back to college and speak to the current Science students about her experiences and her journey. She is well on her way to becoming a diagnostic radiographer and we are so proud of her. It shows that science can lead to many career paths.”
