As part of its commitment to providing diverse methods of training delivery for learners, all of Solihull College & University Centre’s Flexible Learning programmes now have the welcome addition of an exclusively online option alongside paper-based delivery.
The College’s professional training courses previously required learners to complete a physical workbook throughout their study programme and attend face-to-face meetings with members of the College’s Certificate Programme team. However, this new training opportunity will allow learners to undertake the full programme digitally, without the need to complete traditional paper-based assignments or attend assessments in person.
This online-only style of delivery has been of particular interest in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout this year’s lockdown, the College witnessed a huge increase in enrolments for its Flexible Learning courses, as members of the community used the time to update their professional knowledge, or learn something new about a subject they are interested in.
Oliver Matthews, Employer Services Manager at the College, commented: “During these unprecedented circumstances, we have made great efforts to continue supporting the regional and national demand for flexible learning opportunities. With over 30 popular courses to choose from at zero cost to the student, the College are pleased to assist businesses seeking employee engagement initiatives and learners keen on continuing their professional development from home.”
The full range of free flexible learning courses available at the College, plus an extensive range of online courses can be found on the College’s website.
