John Lewis works with Solihull College students
Friday, 4 December, 2015

Students from Solihull College & University Centre were able to put their skills into practice at the John Lewis store in Touchwood Solihull recently. The students treated the staff of John Lewis to mini hand and arm massages as well as Indian Head massages to relieve staff of any stresses they have.

As well as practicing their beauty therapy techniques the level 3 beauty students from Solihull College & University Centre were able to visit the perfumery department and have a tour of the Clarins Spa, as well as receiving advice and tips from members of John Lewis staff with regards to gaining employment.

The students worked hard throughout the day by using the skills they have learnt whilst studying towards their Beauty Therapy qualification and received great feedback from all involved at John Lewis with staff even commenting they would like the students visit to the store be a regular feature!

For companies such as John Lewis to show their support to learners provides a very positive experience for hopeful Beauty Therapists in developing their employability skills and gaining the workplace knowledge necessary to begin their careers.
