Families invited to Open House & Gardens Event at College
Wednesday, 1 June, 2016

Solihull College & University Centre is inviting families to come and experience its stunning period house and gardens at its Blossomfield Campus in Solihull.

The College has run the ‘Open House & Gardens’ event for several years, but this year it is expected to be better than ever with even more activities for visitors to get involved with. The event will take place on Saturday 11th June between 10am-2pm.

The large Animal & Land Management Centre at the College, home to a variety of animals including meerkats, donkeys and lambs, will be open throughout the day for visitors to meet the animals and learn more about how they live. As well as this, visitors will be able to watch agility and fly ball demonstrations and there will be a plant sale and demonstration within the grounds.

The College offers a number of Animal & Land Management courses at a variety of levels, from school leaver programmes all the way up to degree level. Tutors and students will be available on the day to discuss the pathways available to a career with animals for those who’d like to find out more.

The Open House & Gardens event is set to be a great day for all of the family. As well as being able to meet the animals, there will be a range of fun activities for children including a bouncy castle, plus a BBQ and refreshments on offer throughout the day.
Entry and parking is free for all visitors and proceeds from the day will be going to a local charity.
