College recognised with schools outreach award

A member of the Marketing Team from Solihull College & University Centre has been presented with the Education Provider Award from Arden Academy.

This accolade celebrates exceptional dedication and contribution to promoting educational opportunities and supporting students’ career aspirations.

The College’s Schools Marketing & Events Officer, Yvette Taylor, has been instrumental in her role, tirelessly travelling across the region to connect prospective students with the diverse range of courses offered at the College. Her commitment goes beyond her immediate responsibilities, extending support to colleagues at Stratford-upon-Avon College, exemplifying teamwork and dedication in educational outreach.

Head of Marketing & Communications, Sean Howitt, comments: “We are thrilled to see Yvette’s hard work acknowledged with this award. Her efforts embody the College’s mission to empower students to make the right choices as they take their next steps in education. Yvette, with support from the rest of the team, works hard throughout the year at events such as careers fairs, assemblies, workshops, tours and taster days, offering vital advice and guidance to prospective students and their parents.”

Yvette proudly accepted the Education Provider Award during the “Arden Futures” celebration evening, where The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Shahin Ashraf MBE, presented the awards. Other recipients included a range of local businesses, organisations and individuals. Each were recognised for their exceptional support in engaging, inspiring, and mentoring students in the community.
