Principal of Solihull College & University Centre, Dr Rebecca Gater, has been elected as Vice President of Solihull Chamber of Commerce.
The news was announced during the Chamber’s AGM this week and will see Dr Gater supporting the local business community alongside her role as Principal of Solihull College & University Centre and Stratford-upon-Avon College.
Dr Gater is looking forward to her new role and is committed to enhancing the College’s relationship with local industry. She comments: “Taking up the Vice President role demonstrates my personal dedication to serving the business community of Solihull and underscores the College’s commitment to fostering economic growth and prosperity in the region.
“As Vice President, I will leverage my experience and connections within the community and the local business landscape to advocate for the needs and priorities of Solihull’s diverse employers. This role will also support me to focus on enhancing visibility and networking opportunities for the College, advocating for both students and employers, fostering collaboration and partnerships that benefit both the College and its stakeholders.”
Rebecca will be supporting Chamber President, Eileen Schofield (Founder and Principal at Schofield Associates), alongside Emma Louise Hewitt (partner at Sydney Mitchell) and Kevin Johns (Managing Director of Prime Accountants) as Vice Presidents for the next 2 years.
