Leaders and HR professionals from across Solihull are invited to a groundbreaking event titled ‘How to Future-Proof Your Workforce – For Success’. Hosted by Solihull College & University Centre, in collaboration with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, The Careers’ Network, and Solihull Chamber of Commerce, this event promises to be a pivotal gathering for local employers seeking to innovate and strategise for the future.
The event will take place in the College’s Business & Conference Centre at Blossomfield Campus on 11th July 2024 and will feature leading specialists who will challenge conventional thinking in masterclasses, workshops, and panel discussions. Participants can expect deep insights and practical strategies aimed at tackling the most pressing challenges in workforce recruitment, retention, and skills development.
Susie Ankrett, founder of Plum Executive and event organiser, emphasised the significance of the event: “This is a truly very exciting ‘not to be missed’ event supported by Solihull College and University, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, The Careers’ Network and Solihull Chamber of Commerce to showcase what’s available locally to employers.

The event will offer a diverse program, including presentations from thought leaders, expert-led panel discussions, and interactive breakout sessions. Topics covered will include strategic approaches to inclusive recruitment, leveraging training and development, accessing funding, building strong educational partnerships, understanding generational motivations, developing an EVP (Employee Value Proposition), harnessing AI impact, and enhancing CSR initiatives.
