Senior Director of Employment and Skills at Solihull College & University Centre, Shaun Hindle has been shortlisted for the Birmingham Awards 2015 in the ‘Contribution to Education’ category.
The awards, which will take place on Friday 27th November recognises people and businesses that have been part of the movement in Birmingham’s future and commends their efforts and contribution.
Shaun has been nominated for the ‘Contribution to Education’ award; he has been in the education sector for 15 years and worked at Solihull College & University Centre since 2010 where he has been dedicated in ensuring the College is known as an outstanding training provider in the business world. Solihull College & University Centre is now one of the West Midlands leading employee training providers.
Shaun commented “I am delighted to be shortlisted for the award at the annual Birmingham Awards. It’s currently a really tough time within education and it’s vital to ensure that all involved in the sector keep doing all they can to ensure we offer a high standard of training and education which will allow people to achieve their career aspirations and in turn contribute to our region’s economy making Birmingham such a great place.
It’s a real honour to attend the awards next month and I’m looking forward to receiving the final result.”
Before starting at Solihull College & University Centre, Shaun worked at various colleges in the Stafford and Yeovil areas as well as being heavily involved in the Chamber of Commerce within those regions. Shaun has now worked at the College for over 5 years and continues to lead on employer engagement and further develop training initiatives that meet the needs of businesses across the region.
With tickets to the evening now sold out it is guaranteed to be a great evening of celebrations next month at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Stadium and we wish Shaun the best of luck with his nomination.
