Careers & Apprenticeship Fair unites students and employers

13th March 2020

Solihull College & University Centre’s annual Careers & Apprenticeship Fair took place at Blossomfield Campus this week where approximately 500 students enjoyed the opportunity to explore their future career options.

The event, open to internal students and local schools, welcomed over 40 employers and training providers including JLR, the Army, Cooper Parry, Solihull Council, Swissport and many more.

Coaches came over from the College’s Woodlands Campus to ensure access to all interested students.

This annual event has grown bigger each year. Alka Prinja, Careers Co-ordinator commented: “This event is very important for our students to expand their prospects and to network with potential future employers. During their time at the College, we aim to offer all students the best possible launchpad for their career.”

The event garnered positive feedback from employers, with Metro Bank calling the fair “an engaging event” and Xoserve stating “the entire event was well run and welcoming”.

The Careers & Apprenticeship Fair will be back in 2021.
