Students explore Lochinvar

27th February 2019

Built Environment & Sustainable Technology students from Solihull College & University Centre recently visited Lochinvar Ltd in Banbury, an organisation that has been providing energy-efficient heating and hot water solutions in the UK and Ireland since 1976.

Students were able to see first-hand how the establishment runs via tours and demonstrations. Split into groups, the students explored the engineering behind the technology. Learning about renewable and sustainable options for heating and hot water generation, the students were given the opportunity to see the inner working of boilers and hot water generators. The students left with a wealth of knowledge to take back and apply to their studies.

Richard Taberner from Lochinvar stated; ‘We enjoyed presenting to the students and we hope they gained some knowledge that will assist them with their studies and future careers.’
