Beauty Therapy students meet aesthetics industry expert

Beauty Therapy students at Solihull College & University Centre were delighted to welcome Eloise Baskerville, a distinguished expert from Lynton Lasers, as a guest speaker recently.

Eloise’s presentation provided invaluable insights into the aesthetics industry, covering a variety of topics aimed at helping learners understand the diverse career opportunities available after completing their studies. Drawing from her extensive background in the industry, she shared her own career journey, offering students a relatable and motivating perspective.

Eloise also spoke about the origins of Lynton Lasers, a company founded by scientists conducting PhD research. Today, Lynton Lasers is renowned for being one of the few aesthetics companies that collaborates with the NHS, setting a high standard for innovation and professionalism in the industry. She highlighted the advanced machines and comprehensive support that Lynton Lasers provides, showcasing their commitment to empowering beauty professionals.

As part of her visit, Eloise invited students to explore Lynton Lasers’ head office and training centre in Cheshire, presenting a unique opportunity for learners to gain hands-on experience and further insight into the field.

In addition to discussing career pathways, Eloise addressed important industry developments. She spoke about potential changes in qualifications and insurance requirements, as well as local government restrictions when working with Laser and IPL machines. This crucial information ensures that students are prepared to navigate the evolving landscape of the aesthetics sector.
