Solihull College & University Centre has received a number of awards from its partner university Oxford Brookes.
Members of the teaching team from the College visited Oxford Brookes recently to collect a number of awards for student satisfaction. The College offers a vast number of higher education courses in partnership with the University including Animal Behaviour & Welfare, Fine Art, Creative Arts & Design Practice, Business Management & Communications, Early Years, Educational Practice, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Biosciences and Sports Science.
Following on from National Student Surveys conducted recently, the University found that many of the courses delivered by Solihull College & University Centre achieved over 90% student satisfaction, with courses such as Business Management & Communications and Animal Behaviour & Welfare achieving an outstanding 100% for student satisfaction.
The National Student Survey allows students to give feedback on their course as well as their educational institution, asking questions relating to the quality of teaching, academic support, learning resources and personal development.
Solihull College & University Centre is extremely proud of the positive results from the latest survey. Dean of Higher Education, Sue McGregor commented:
“We are incredibly proud of the work we do to ensure students get the very best experience whilst studying at Solihull College & University Centre.
“Receiving such positive results from the National Student Survey is a great way to showcase our very high quality degrees right here in Solihull. The all-round experience we seek to provide is clearly something which our students appreciate very highly and the staff should be congratulated on their outstanding achievement on the Oxford Brookes courses.
The results of the national survey provide valuable information for prospective students, and help Colleges such as ourselves to further improve the services we provide.”
The College prides itself on offering higher education courses for individuals who need to remain local. Allowing students to study both full and part-time, the courses are flexible to allow students to fit their studies around work and family life. As well as partnering with Oxford Brookes University, the College works with other institutions including Newman University, Coventry University and the University of Warwick to offer a range of different courses.
