Aerospace Engineering students from Solihull College & University Centre recently found themselves in front of the camera when they featured on ITV News.
The team at ITV asked to visit Woodlands after hearing of the exceptional facilities at the campus in north Solihull. The College’s aerospace facilities boast a BAe Jetstream T Mk2 aircraft which is used as a realistic training resource for aircraft servicing, plus a full Boeing 737 flight simulator and other industry-grade equipment.
The segment discussed political party funding promises for education in the lead up to the general election. A small portion of what the team filmed aired on ITV on Friday 22nd November. The clip features Principal John Callaghan offering his own thoughts on the funding promises from a further education perspective whilst students take part in a lesson using the aircraft.
