The School of Science offers a range of courses for part time adult learners looking to supplement existing qualifications or to re-join the education system.
The GCSE Biology programme is particularly popular with adult learners who need a GCSE science qualification to gain a place on a nursing degree or a teacher training programme. It consists of one two-hour lesson, one evening a week during term time.
The Access to Higher Education Diploma in Science programme is ideal for students who wish to pursue a career in science based professions e.g. Physiotherapy, Nursing, Radiography, Dietetics, Biomedical and Biological Sciences. Students on this course should be able to commit at least a further 12 of study per week outside of their classroom contact to be successful on this programme.
