Completion of this course will assist with your continuing professional development and career progression with a view to moving into senior support worker roles.
This course is available to individuals who are employed within the care sector. The course will cover everything from communication and completion of records to the support, protection, and well-being of others. Applicants will also develop their own knowledge and practice within the health and social care industry.
This course will be delivered in the workplace and the programme of delivery will be agreed with your manager. Blended learning will be utilised to support your development. An electronic portfolio of evidence will be used. You have 2 years to complete this award.
Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
You will develop and produce a range of evidence that demonstrates your ability to work within the care sector. Evidence to be gained includes written work/assignments, discussions, reflective accounts, and observations of your working practice.

You will be required to undertake an initial assessment of your Math and English ability to ensure you have sufficient basic skills In English to be able to succeed with the written and academic work. You should be working at a level 1 standard and be employed as a care worker in an adult care setting and have lived in the UK for 3 years if more. You cannot hold another full level 3 qualification to access free funding.
Initial diagnostic tests will be completed to ensure the correct level of course or identify if further support is needed.
Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care however, this is not a funded course therefore is full cost.
