Where will this course lead?

This course aims to prepare learners for entry into the construction industry.

What will I study?

You will study the core skills sort by today's employers, as well as developing the health and safety knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to keep you safe, but also sit the CSCS health and safety touch screen exam. You will have the opportunity to develop and further your everyday maths and English skills.

How will this course be delivered?

This course is classroom based and will be delivered over four weeks, with an additional day for assessments. Delivery will be Monday to Friday, between 9am and 4pm.

What qualifications will I get?

City and Guilds Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment

City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Employability Skills

The opportunity to get your CSCS green labourer's card.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment consists of two multiple choice exams. Both exams are one hour long, with approximately an 80% pass mark.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no academic entry requirements for the course, however, a basic knowledge of English and maths would be helpful. You will need to be 19+, have lived in the UK for three years, and live within the West Midlands Combined Authority.

What else do I need to know?

What can I do after this course?

After successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to start work as a labourer within the construction industry.
