This course will teach you a basic understanding of how to make patchwork blocks and quilted items.
You will study the practical and theoretical aspects of creating patchwork and quilted textiles, learning how to use a rotary cutter, ruler and self healing mat to cut accurate pieces of material, how to set up your machine, how to use different feet for your machine, some colour theory, some design work, how to create simple quilting, discussion on how to progress your interest, patchwork and quilting from around the world, traditional and modern styles of patchwork and quilting.

You must be 19 years or older.
Please bring your own sewing machine and you will need to supply materials and consumables yourself. You will learn which additional items assist you with creation of patchwork and quilting and may wish to buy these for yourself.
