Where will this course lead?

This Bootcamp for existing or aspiring team leaders and is an intensive and extensive program aimed at equipping participants with a better understanding of leading a team, motivation, conflict management, communication, and situational leadership practices. The duration allows for a thorough exploration of the subject matter and the development of practical skills crucial for success as a Team Leader.

What will I study?

There are various topics covered to prepare individuals to lead and team in different organisations and industries but focusing mainly on business functions. You will develop firm understanding of how teams develop, perform, and succeed by self-awareness of individual capabilities and through team dynamics. It will also provide situational awareness using various theoretical techniques and practical activities to support learning.

This will culminate with an personal development planning and employability skills workshop to aid application to gaining a further courses and qualifications in Team Leading, Leadership & Management and higher management qualifications and apprenticeships.

Applicants are invited to send their current CV via email to bootcamps@solihull.ac.uk and then fill in the application form.

What are the entry requirements?

No formal entry requirements needed however only 19+ years of age who live in the West Midlands Combined Authority area postcode (Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton) Coventry or Warwickshire need apply. Applicants must also fall into one or more of the following categories:

• Have a high interest in team leading and management.
• Have experience or work in a business setting and wishing to progress.
• Have team leading/management experience.
• Have experience with projects or project development.

This bootcamp offers a versatile learning environment that caters to a broad range of applicants with varying levels of experience and career objectives.

*This course is free if you are aged 19+ and live in West Midlands, Coventry or Warwickshire area.
