You will gain confidence and knowledge in a range of maths skills and work towards achieving a qualification. You will take part in a variety of daily activities to improve your numeracy skills. You will focus on both the underpinning skills as well as the ability to apply maths to different contexts and real-world scenarios. The skills you gain will be valuable in the workplace or in any further learning.
You will aim to achieve a Functional Skills maths qualification. Normally, this will be at either level 1 or level 2. The awarding organisation is City & Guilds.
You will be initially assessed to ensure our teachers can help you with your areas of need. The final assessment involves completing one exam paper. You will be tested on both calculator and non-calculator skills.
