Where will this course lead?

This personal development course is suitable for anyone interested in getting their thoughts and feelings out of their head and onto paper. No prior experience or skills are needed. Journalling is an enjoyable way to write; it can build confidence and boost self-esteem, as well as help in managing stress and anxiety. It is also just fun! Students will be encouraged to find their own way of expressing themselves through writing. Additionally, some students might choose to enhance their writing artistically - using images, crafts or simply doodling. You can be as creative as you want.

What will I study?

Students are encouraged and supported to find creative ways to write down their thoughts, ideas, or events in their lives. We all have something interesting to say and often just need the time and space, and the confidence to write it down. Each session will look at the barriers students might face in being able to write down their ideas, how to overcome them and how to present your writing. This course is ideal for students wanting to try out something new and to make time for themselves and their own personal well-being.

How will this course be delivered?

Delivery is classroom based in a friendly and nurturing environment. Students will be able to relax, discuss their ideas, write and share their work - only if they want to! They will be encouraged to use journalling and writing as a way to manage stress and feel better about themselves.
