This Into Employment Programme is a short-term intensive program aimed at equipping participants with a broader understanding of the business environment. The duration allows for a thorough exploration of the subject matter and the development of practical skills crucial for success in the customer service and business administration and provide a work placement and apply all the tools to gain game full employment.

What will I study?

There are various topics covered to prepare individuals to lead and team in different organisations and industries but focusing mainly on business functions. You'll study a range of topics tailored to customer service and hospitality, including:

  • Customer service in the business environment
  • Communication in a business environment
  • Developing working relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Functional skills and understanding own capabilities through self-assessment
  • Academic and digital skills

This will culminate with a personal development planning and employability skills workshop to aid application to gaining employment and introduction to local employers looking to employ with possible interview opportunities and work placements.

You will be assessed through a combination of:

· Theory-based tasks to test your understanding of key concepts

· Practical, scenario-based activities to apply your skills in realistic setting

To enrol on the course, you should:

  • Hold a West Midlands postcode
  • Be aged 19 or above
  • Income below £32,000

What else do I need to know?

All resources and materials needed for the course will be provided. Attendance and participation in all sessions are mandatory to qualify for a guaranteed interview.

What can I do after this course?

After completing the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to apply for administrative, customer facing roles in a variety of businesses. You could secure a role directly through the guaranteed interview or use your certificate and experience to apply for similar positions of employment.
