Where will this course lead?

This course is designed to prepare you for school-based roles such as school technician, admissions officer, office administrator and other school based, non-teaching roles. Upon successful completion, you'll be guaranteed an interview, and you will have obtained a Level 2 qualification in Digital Skills for Work, giving you the chance to take your first step into a fulfilling career in education and develop digital confidence in employment.

What will I study?

You'll study a range of topics tailored to school-based non-teaching roles, including:

  • Level 2 Digital Skills for Work
  • Effective communication and teamwork in a school environment
  • AI Fundamentals (Advantage Unit)
  • Health and Safety Awareness
  • Equality and Diversity in the Workplace
  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Office administration and organisational skills
  • An introduction to safeguarding and child protection
  • Understanding data protection (GDPR) and confidentiality
  • Preparing for job interviews

How will this course be delivered?

This intensive programme is delivered face-to-face over four weeks, Monday to Friday, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM at our Blossomfield Campus. Sessions will include engaging workshops, interactive activities, and practical exercises to build your confidence and skills.

What qualifications will I get?

Upon completion, you'll receive:

  • A Level 2 Certificate in Digital Skills for Work
  • An AI Fundamentals Cisco badge (Advantage module)
  • A guaranteed interview with Zest Education for a role on their live vacancy board.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of:

  • Theory-based tasks to test your understanding of key concepts
  • Practical, scenario-based activities to apply your skills in realistic school settings
  • To gain your Level 2 in Digital Skills for work, you will be required to complete a portfolio of mandatory unit requirements.

To enrol on the course, you should:

  • Hold a West Midlands postcode
  • Be aged 19 or above
  • Income below £32,000

What else do I need to know?

All resources and materials needed for the course will be provided. Attendance and participation in all sessions are mandatory to qualify for the guaranteed interview.
