Solihull College welcomes students from Denmark
Wednesday, 27 April, 2016

As part of an exchange programme students from a college in Denmark are becoming students at Solihull College & University Centre for a three-week exchange programme.

With many having not visited the UK previously, the students have travelled from Aarhus in Denmark to experience what the College has to offer.

All of the students are staying in the College’s accommodation at the Blossomfield Campus with five students travelling to the Woodlands Campus in Smith’s Wood to join the motor vehicle programme. The exchange students are working alongside students at the campus to see what skills are needed within the industry. Many of the students are impressed with the facilities at the Solihull College & University Centre; the Woodlands Campus is home to a number of modern workshops and a range of different vehicles for students to work on, something which many of the exchange students feel is a differing factor from their College in Denmark.

Eight students have also joined Solihull College & University Centre’s HND students at the Blossomfield Campus to study computing and are enjoying the programme thoroughly, many of the students stated they are enjoying how theoretical the course at the College is, as this differs from what they experience at College in Denmark.

The students are enjoying their time at the College so much so that many of them have already booked their return visit to the UK for a summer holiday.

The College is looking forward to hosting more exchange programmes such as this in the future to allow students to experience different cultures as well as experiencing the facilities that Solihull College & University Centre has to offer.
